The Bengali Alpana Mandala – This is how it could look

Eight paddy stalks radiate from a lotus medallion with conches at the centre, with fish and diya lamps between. A leaf-and-tendril band loops around a dot grid, sixteen mangoes and conches edge the rim and small welcome footprints form the outer border. A respectful tribute to Bengali Alpana folk art.
