Magical group lantern procession (Laternenzug) night scene. A group of children of different ages walking together in the dark — each child carrying a different wonderfully shaped homemade lantern: a ghost (Geist) lantern, a star (Stern) lantern, a heart (Herz) lantern, a fish (Fisch) lantern, a pumpkin (Kürbis) lantern, a simple round lantern with painted faces. The children are singing with open mouths. Parents walk behind with torches/flashlights. The path winds through a park or neighbourhood, with dark trees framing either side. Fallen leaves on the ground. The lanterns create a warm chain of colourful glowing lights winding through the dark, like a caterpillar of light.
