The Taíno Zemi Scene in the Caribbean – This is how it could look

In the palm-leaf arch of a bohío doorway stands a small carved zemi figure on a stone altar. A Taíno elder places fruit from a calabash, two grind cassava and a child plays batey. Conch shells, parrots, cassava plants, a duho stool and a hammock complete the scene. A respectful tribute to the Taíno of the Caribbean.
