This is how it could look
Exploration scene: long pale deep-sea salamander (cave-dwelling species, entirely white due to lack of sunlight, vestigial eyes) making way through complex deep-sea cave system. Cave walls covered in extraordinary life: stalactite-like calcium carbonate formations, tube worms growing from cave ceiling. Salamander moving slowly carefully, sensitive lateral line organs detecting water movement. Found something in side chamber: small cluster of hydrothermal vent organisms — white crabs and tube worms — colonised this cave. Salamander observing with sightless eyes.
