Sweet spring scene: magical bird spirit — small, colourful being like cross between robin and tiny fairy, with bright wings and bird-feet, neat little beak, carrying material in beak and little hands — constructing perfect round nest on blossoming cherry branch. Collected impressive variety of nesting materials: piece of blue yarn, tiny feather, bit of moss, thin twig, strand of dog hair, flower petal. Each item carefully woven in. Two tiny eggs already waiting in nest — blue-speckled, round, and perfect. Branch around: soft pink cherry blossom. Very thick outlines, very large colour areas.
