Birth of island scene: brand new volcanic island emerging from sea. Dramatic moment of first appearance: volcanic cone breaking surface for first time, steam and smoke billowing, surrounded by churning white water where hot lava meets cold ocean. Sea birds arriving to investigate new land. Below water line (shown in cross-section): full underwater mountain building for thousands of years, finally tall enough to reach surface. Around new island: dramatic sea with small waves. On tiny new black rock surface: very first colonisers — few brave birds landing, windblown seeds stuck in cracks. Sky above: dramatic dark clouds from steam, but rays of sunlight breaking through.
